Equipment Care Hints
To help you get the maximum use out of your equipment, we have developed a number of hints.

For each model of our equipment you can find daily care tips below. These hints are also located in the operating manual which can be found under our ''Archive'' section (log-in is requested).

Washer Extractors Front-Load

Daily
• Clean the door seal and remove detergent residue.
• Check that the door does not leak.
• Clean the detergent compartment and wipe down the machine with adamp cloth.
• Check that the drain valve does not leak.
• Start the machine and check that the door remains locked while themachine is operating. Fast forward the machine to the stop position andcheck that the door cannot be opened until the program is completed.

Monthly
• Check that valves, hoses and connections do not leak.
• Remove any textile lint from the drain opening, joints in drain pipes etc.

Every third month
• Accumulated chemicals on the panel ledges.
• Disconnect electrical power from the machine.
• Turn off the water supply and bleed the pressure from the supply hoses.
• Remove the water supply hoses from the rear of the machine and cleanor replace the inlet screens, as needed.
• Thoroughly clean the detergent dispenser.
• Remove the top and front panels from the machine.
• To help prevent corrosion, clean accumulation of detergent and other chemicals from the panels.
• Inspect inside of machine for leaks. Repair as needed.
• Clean the door gasket.
• Reinstall top and front panels.
• Restore power and return the machine to service

Barrier Washers

Daily
1 Check that the “emergency stop button(s)” properly works.
2 Check that the opening safety devices of the drum and cage door properly work.
3 Clean the detergent container (Operate the rinse electrovalve: machines withoutdetergent box).

Weekly
4 Extract flush or remove the filter of the converter and clean it.
Increase the cleaning times according to the dirtying.

Monthly
5 Clean the water level connection and pipe on the drain valve (do not blow in thetube towards the CPU).
6 Grease the drum bearings (2 greasing points on each bearing). Use an appropriatepump and grease by slow and not brutal injections. Use lithium soap grease, droppoint 190°C (374°F) and penetration 250/300 (see lubrication table in the followingpages).
7 Check the belt is clean and properly tightened. Clean the drum pulley.

Every three month
8 Check that the unbalance switch properly works during an extraction cycle : themachine should stop when the switch is manually driven.
9 Check the shock absorbers are in good repair.
10. Check that the screws of the blocking device for drum doors are well tightened.
11 Remove and clean the drain.

Every six month
12 Check the connections of the electric elements (for electric heating).
13 Check the condition and fixing of the steam flexible pipe and clean the filter(for steam heating).
14 Check the condition and fixing of the water flexible pipe. Clean the electrovalvefilters.
15 Check the bellow’s condition and the collar’s squeeze.
16 Check the electrical connections are well squeezed on the main switch and theelectric heating contactor.
17 Scale the heating elements using the appropriate antiliming agent, and adapt thefrequency of these scaling operations to your real need.

Tumbler Dryers

Daily
• Check that the drum stops when the door is opened.
• Check that the lint screen in the door has been cleaned. The lint screen must be removed for cleaning. Use a soft brush or your hand. Remember to re-install the lint screen.
• Check that the gaskets around the coarse filter/air condenser and the door gasket have been cleaned. Clean with a moist cloth.
• Check that the lint screen is unbroken.
• Check that the machine will not start until the start button has been activated.
• On condensate machines, the air condenser must also be checked for lint and dust. Remove for cleaning.

Monthly (on condensate machines)
• At least once a month the condenser must be cleaned of lint by rinsing it with water until the lamellae are clean. Soak in hot water if required.

Quarterly/Semi-annually
• Check that the fresh-air intake at the rear of the machine is not clogged by lint or blocked in any other way.
• Check that the evacuation system is tight and that the duchts are not clogged by lint or dust or blocked in any other way.
• Wipe off/clean drum and lifters with citric acid (Acidum citricum). If soap/softener residue remains, it is recommended also to use a coarse sponge.
The frequency of cleaning should depend on the operating frequency - with a minimum of once a quarter.
• Remove the coarse filter for lint removal. (On condensate machines carry out the monthly cleaning described above).


Annualy
Check that the fresh-air intake to the room and the vent ducts/pipes in and from the room are not clogged by lint/dust or in any other way. Clean as required, depending on the frequency of use. Minimum once a year. At least once a year the inside wearing parts of the machine should be checked by a service person and cleaned of lint.
Ironers

Daily (at the beginning of each working day)
1. Check that the machine stops when you press the mobile safety protector (hand safetydevice).
2. Check that the ''emergency stop button'' works correctly.

Weekly
3. Clean motor ventilation grills.
4. Clean the separators.
5. Clean the detection cell and its reflector (on models with the folding funciton only).
6. Check and clean the plush filter.

Monthly
7. Remove dust from outside the machine.
8. Ensure that the thermostatic regulation and overheat safety shoes are always clean andin contact with the cylinder.
9. Lubricate the steam heater bearings (see lubrication chart in next pages).

Every six months
10. Check for any possible oil seepage, particularly at the filler plug (only on Dubixiumcylinders).
11. Grease chains (see lubrification table on the following pages).
12. Clean and check cylinder support rollers (except on machine with steam heating).
13. Check operation of the handle.
14. Inspect tightness of electrical connections on the power supply terminal block andelectrical earthing connections.
15. Clean the entire intake system.
16. Inspect heating elements, cables and electrical connections (on electrical heatingonly).
17. Clean gas filters (on gas heating only).
18. Check the condition of ironing bands and their staples.
19. Check the feed bands and their drive and ejection bands (on models with the foldingfunciton only).
20. Remove dust from inside the machine.
